Frequently Asked Questions

How far in advance should I book tickets?

At least 2 to 3 weeks in advance, especially for weekends and summer. Popular tower slots often sell out a month ahead.

Can I buy tickets at the door?

Technically yes, but in practice the online queue opens at 09:00 and most slots sell out within hours. On-site ticket windows exist but usually have 1 to 2 hour queues.

Which tower is better — Nativity or Passion?

Nativity tower (east) has the original organic Gaudí stonework and faces the morning sun. Passion tower (west) faces the afternoon sun and looks over the city centre.

Is there a free way to visit the Sagrada Familia?

The exterior is always free to walk around. Free entry inside is offered on 19 March (Saint Joseph's Day) and 11 September (Catalan National Day), but queues are extreme.

Are tickets refundable?

Most tickets via GetYourGuide offer free cancellation up to 24 hours before the visit. Check the specific listing before booking.
